January Meeting, Thursday January 7 at 8 PM via Zoom. Go to "Contact Us" to receive meeting link. Helping Children Manage Emotions during the COVID-19 Pandemic:  What To Do and When to Seek Professional Help.

Both children and adults are experiencing a wide range of emotions as we struggle to deal with COVID-19 and its effects on our normal way of life. There's no simple set of directions or guidelines to help any of us know how to feel during a pandemic.  Many children are struggling to adjust to virtual/hybrid learning and the decrease in socialization, exercise, and extracurricular activities.  This presentation will focus on the potential range of emotions and behaviors you may be seeing in your children and tips on how to talk with them about emotions during this unusual time.  We will also discuss signs of potentially more serious mental health issues and when you might want to seek additional professional help for your child.

Lauren Krivitzky, PhD, ABPP-Cn, is a board certified pediatric neuropsychologist at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.   Dr. Krivitzky is the Director of Psychology Fellowship training program and also a member of the Pediatric Stroke Team at CHOP.  She earned her PhD in Clinical and Health Psychology at MCP-Hahnemann University.  Dr. Krivitzky’ s professional role involves working with pediatric patients and their families with complex medical/neurological diagnoses.  She focuses on maximizing s child’s learning, thinking and emotional/behavioral wellbeing through neuropsychological assessment and consultation.

February Meeting, Thursday February 4 at 8 PM via Zoom. Go to "Contact Us" to receive meeting link. Be YOUR Valentine.

Treat yourself to a night of uplifting energy and good cheer!  Dynamic speaker, author, coach and CEO/Founder of The GKC Group and Half the Sky Leadership, Grace Killelea has for over 30 years been at the forefront of connecting, developing, mentoring, and supporting women.  Join us for a virtual chat with Grace to experience her incredible energy, authenticity, good humor and insights into the power of gratitude and service, self-love and care, and maintaining our female friendships and networks.

This is the perfect event to bring a friend and share the experience of JWCCN and our own wonderful community of women.

And what Valentine’s gathering would be complete without flowers and chocolates?  To that end, we have created a special treat bag including a craft Rose Cocktail Infusion Kit and a hand dipped Box of Chocolates for us to enjoy together, even though we are physically apart.  Bring your cocktail or mocktail creation and chocolates to the Zoom party to share tasting notes after our time with Grace!

Gift bags can be purchased for $25 and will be available for pick up or delivery in the Narberth area.  Venmo @Susan-Souffie with the subject “Valentine” and your email address by January 8th to get your kit in time for the party.

You do not need to purchase a Gift Bag to attend the event. The event is free of charge to Members and first-time guests, but registration is required.  Click here to register for the Zoom meeting link. Contact Susan Souffie, JWCCN Ways & Means Chair with any questions: souffie.susan@gmail.com or 215-990-3446.
